Mesnerhof-Chalet

Simply.Being.Together

Our Mesnerhof-C is a place with a lot of history where you will want to be! In the middle of breathtaking mountains we can reconnect: with people, nature and ourselves. A place for musing without distraction - here you can focus on the essential: Simply.Being.Together!

In 2013, when the Mesnerhof turned 400 years old, the former housing unit of the farmers was carefully restored. Modern interior such as WiFi and underfloor heating is blended naturally with rural history - simple ambience and creeking woodwork - and the view: just stunning!

The self-catering facility for 10 people offers you all you need and is multipurpose - people from all around the world come here to embrace its benefits: a start-up team from Boston/USA  using it as a wintry work-retreat, Impact Hub/Munich as an alpine saloon, a group of Aussies as an European home base, guests from Abu Dhabi to enjoy breezy summer days in the mountains - and of course by a whole bunch of nice, mountain-loving people who want to spend some quality time with their family and friends. Larger groups additionally book our Mesnerhof-Camp for up to 27 people.

We are looking forward to see how you and your group are going to use our farmers´ Chalet.

Tyrolean Snuggery

The heart of life in the cottage is the old living room. Preserving the historical substance in an unfussy way, the lovely peasant paintings brighten up the space. A nostalgic stove, actually high tech, provides a cozy warmth. The wide lounger in front of the stove invites you to contented cuddling. Friendy sunlight falls into the room through four charming windows. On fixed tables a position can be represented. Definitely a good place to talk, play and rest.

And everywhere 400 years of history.

Grandma's Co-Kitchen

A "Kuchlgwölb" just as in the old days. The restored wooden stove presents its open cooking field. Every fry will be a success in the stovepipe - even christmas cookies. For faster cooking there are electric ranges too. A kitchen paradise for up to 15 people - here you can find anything from pots, a dishwasher, several variations of  preparation for coffee or tea etc.

You eat in the dining room next to the kitchen, in the rustic lounge or outside on the terrace with a mountain view. In between, wine is brought up from the cellar and somebody stops time.

Sleeeeping-Chambers

"We finally slept through again" - that´s what we often hear, even from children. The reason: the fresh mountain air. And the sensual character of the five bedrooms. Dipped in warm colours and furnished with what was already there. Low door frames call for stooped humility. Remniscent of a farm-museum. Of couse, the floors and the doors squeak and creak. An old house like this hums the melody of hundreds of years. That is why we recommend the proven ritual: shared hut-silence.

After all the mountains await our wide salute in the morning. Sent out from the dainty balcony.

Nostalgic Bathroom

Privy and cold water well in all honour, but that is a thing of the past. Our wet area uncompromisingly connects with the 21st century. There is underfloor heating in the shower. Rustic wooden walls separate the Ladies and Gents Toilets and clapboards cover the ceiling. The supporting concrete reflects the Steinberger forest. Two "Philip Starck" sinks rest on grandma´s sideboard. The former front-door and french-window has also found a new home. And the popular photo motif: Wash boiler on an ancient milking stool. Cool!
